“La Misión is a Christian community in Tuis, Costa Rica, where everyone has a place, a hug, and a cup of coffee.”

La Mision
A Community of Faith
La Misión is a Christian community born from a simple yet profound dream: to live out faith authentically, in community, with open doors and warm coffee. Here, we believe that no one walks alone, and that everyone needs a place to belong. We are not a traditional church. We are people from different countries and backgrounds, seeking our identity in Christ, supporting one another, and walking together.
A Real Story Lived Since 1997
La Misión was born from the meeting of two young musicians who dreamed of bringing Christian music and a message of hope beyond the walls of a church. That dream took them to North America, back to Costa Rica, and ultimately to Tuis, a small town in Turrialba that became home. What began with music, simple gatherings, and toys for children gradually grew—almost without noticing—into a living, diverse, and deeply human community.
What We Do
Over the years la Misión has served in different ways:

Community and Worship
We gather to share, pray, and worship God with original music that flows from our own story.

Christian Spanish School
Since 2006, we have welcomed people from all over the world who come to learn Spanish and experience a deep sense of community and culture.

Community Service
For more than 15 years, we walked alongside the Cabécar indigenous community, sharing life, work, and faith. Today, we continue serving through other projects.

Café Misión Costa Rica
Since 2012, coffee has become a source of dignified work, local rootedness, and connection with the community.
